What is Working Equitation?
Working Equitation is a fun way to train seriously! It comprises four different phases based on skills and horsemanship derived “from the field”. These phases are Dressage, Ease of Handling over obstacles, obstacles at speed and cattle work. Due to a lack of cows, our club does not include the cattle phase.
Aims of the club
WEQH2H aims to develop and promote the sport of working Equitation on the Central Coast and broader district, in a way that is both fun and progressive for both horse and rider.
Grounds
We are based at Walker Park, 38 pacific Hwy, Ourimbah, NSW. Aka Tall Timbers Pony Club.
Hendra vaccination policy
Starting in January 2014, all membership applications must come with a copy of a current certificate of vaccination for Hendra virus for the horse that the member intends to ride at WEQH2H days. The committee is committed to protecting the health and safety of all our members - human and horse - as well as the wider community. We must make public health the priority.
